Sheila Marsh BSc, MBA, MCIPD

Sheila has worked in management, learning, development and research for 25 years, and since 1987 has worked in organisational consulting, primarily in the public and not-for-profit sectors. She focuses on:

  • management & leadership development strategy and practice
  • approaches to achieving quality services
  • working with diversity/equality issues in practice
  • applying ‘whole systems’ methodologies
  • learning design and support
  • trainer development
  • research
Post-Graduate Management Programmes

She has developed and led {with Marion Macalpine and colleagues in CLiO] post-graduate management programmes delivered in a three-way partnership between consultant tutors, universities and local authority employers. These partnership programmes have continued since 1993, and since 1997 have involved the NHS.

Background

Sheila’s early background as a manager in hotel & catering operations in both public and private sectors gives her direct experience of delivering demanding customer services and a practical orientation to consultancy work

Subsequently in regional local government, she worked on early pioneering regeneration initiatives, setting up training programmes in partnership with both industry and community interests.
